A2 Exhibits / Las Vegas
Compare the whole program, not just the structure.
A rental may fit a specific event or a changing exhibit program. A custom build may fit a repeat program with a defined brand environment. The useful choice depends on the actual design, dates, inclusions and expected future use.
Compare both options on equivalent terms
| Decision | Custom build | Rental option |
|---|---|---|
| Design | Define the brand environment, products, components and reuse goals. | Confirm the available configuration and which branded or custom details can be supplied. |
| Future shows | Review future footprints, repairs, graphics refreshes and component condition. | Review future availability, configuration changes and recurring event costs. |
| After the show | Confirm packing, ownership, storage and return freight in the proposal. | Confirm the rental period, return process, condition and damage responsibilities. |
| Event execution | Identify freight, material handling, labor, electrical, rigging, internet and other official services for either option. | |
Define the costs you are comparing
Ask for structure or components, design, graphics, flooring, furnishings, displays, technology, packing and show-floor work to be identified separately. Mark each item as included, excluded, optional, estimated or arranged directly with another provider.
A lower initial structure cost does not establish a lower total program cost. Reuse also depends on the component dimensions, condition and requirements of later events. Do not assume that one booth fits every future space.
Questions to send with the brief
- Which shows and dates are under consideration, and which footprints are assigned?
- What products, demonstrations, private meetings or storage functions are essential?
- Which graphics, furnishings or exhibit components does your team already own?
- How often is the brand presentation expected to change?
- Who will arrange transport, handling, installation, dismantle and storage?
- Does the target budget cover the exhibit alone or the wider event costs?
Custom and rental questions
Is renting always cheaper than buying?
No. Compare design, graphics, freight, handling, labor, return obligations, repairs, storage and the expected number of events. The actual proposal determines the comparison.
Can a rental booth reflect my brand?
Discuss the graphics, layout, displays and custom details you need. A2 reviews the configuration, availability, budget and schedule before confirming what can be supplied.
